I think we can all agree that the best kind of internet is fast internet.
Am I right?
So let’s say you have applied to become an online ESL teacher with DaDaABC after reading our article here:
Now the next step, if your application is successful, is for DaDaABC to test your internet speed.
You need good speed internet for the online teaching platform to work.
You will also need a laptop to perform the job of course…here is the one that I personally use to teach with DaDaABC on Amazon:
So What is the Minimum Requirement Internet Speed for DaDaABC?
Download Speed = 10 mbps
Upload Speed = 2 mbps
If your internet speed doesn’t meet this criteria when testing it using speedtest.net
…then your application will not progress to the later stages.
So What is the Best Internet Provider for Teaching with DaDaABC?
The best internet provider to give you the best chance of getting the job with DaDaABC ultimately depends on your area.
Here is a case study from within the United Kingdom:
Download Speed = 55 Mbps
Upload Speed = 5 Mbps
This is perfect for this particular DigiNo as they work for DaDaABC as an online English teacher and require a really good connection for the teaching platform to work.

However, the DigiNo recently travelled to Scotland.
They were unable to find a connection good enough at their temporary home there to teach online.
Research Your Area’s Internet Speed Before Applying to DaDaABC
After doing some research, it seemed that the city in Scotland did indeed have fibre optic laid down…however it had not been connected.
This particular digital nomad had discovered a world without the fibre optic that they had become so accustomed to.
The best they could get was with Sky Broadband, which speed was as follows:
Download Speed = 5 Mbps
Upload Speed = 1.3 Mbps
Which is pretty shocking compared to Virgin.
And remember, the minimum required for online English teaching on DaDaABC’s platform is:
Download Speed = 10 Mbps
Upload Speed = 2 Mbps
So the average speed in Scotland compared to England was drastically different, despite both being in the United Kingdom.
So as you see, it really does depend on your area.
