Introduction to Zeugma and Syllepsis

Syllepsis is a similar device, where the single word applies differently to the parts of the sentence, often creating a play on words.
- Discuss how these devices can add humor, efficiency, and stylistic flair to writing.
Real Life Examples
- Analyze examples from literature and poetry where zeugma and syllepsis are effectively used, illustrating their impact on the reader’s experience and the text’s meaning.
- Highlight the use of these devices in creating memorable phrases and enhancing the expressiveness of language.
Interactive Activities

- Organize a ‘Literary Detective' activity, where students identify examples of zeugma and syllepsis in provided texts, enhancing their analytical skills and appreciation for these stylistic techniques.
