Abaka AI is a real company, but it is not a place to sign up for AI training tasks. It sells datasets, data labeling and model testing to AI companies, and its public job openings are office roles in California. We found no open sign-up page for freelance annotators or AI trainers on its site, so if that is what you want, you will need a different platform.
Everything below comes from Abaka AI's own site and job board, read on 2026-10-12. DigiNo has no link with Abaka AI and earns nothing from it.
Is Abaka AI Legit?
Abaka AI describes itself as a data partner for AI companies. Its site sells ready-made datasets, data collection, data annotation, model evaluation and its own labeling software, called Abaka Forge.
Its job ads say the company is headquartered in Silicon Valley, with teams in Paris, Singapore and Tokyo. The team page names Tom Tang as chief executive.
The site is written for buyers. Its main button reads “Talk to an Expert”, and the contact email it lists is a business address.

Can You Work for Abaka AI as an AI Trainer?
Not through any public page we could find. The homepage says Abaka has 1 million specialized annotators in more than 50 countries, but there is no link for people to join that network.
We checked the homepage, the FAQ, the careers page, the talent service page and the full site map on 2026-10-12. None of them had a contributor sign-up.
Abaka's FAQ says its annotators go through skill tests, field-specific tests and ongoing quality checks before they are put on client work. It does not say how people are recruited.
The page called Talent Service is also aimed at companies. It offers to place vetted data professionals inside a client's own team.

Abaka AI Jobs on Its Careers Board
Abaka's job board listed 13 openings on 2026-10-12, all based in Mountain View, California. Its own careers page shows a shorter list placed in Palo Alto.
- Engineering roles, such as machine learning engineer, multimodal data engineer and robotics research engineer.
- Product and design roles, such as product designer and brand designer.
- Business roles, such as project manager, business development associate and social media manager.
- An office administrator.
None of these are remote annotation or AI training roles. The one called AI Content Expert is a marketing job writing social posts and articles for Abaka.

Project Reborn Is for Founders, Not Taskers
Abaka also runs Project Reborn, which licenses private codebases and company operating data to train and test AI models. It wants old startup or agency code with a long commit history, or the documents, chats and tickets a company produced.
Abaka says a person replies within 48 hours and a written offer follows within 14 days. You sign an NDA first, and payment comes in two halves, the second after quality checks.
This only makes sense if you own the code or the company data. It is a licensing deal, not ongoing work.

What People Say on Reddit
We found no Reddit threads from people doing contributor work for Abaka AI when we searched on 2026-10-12. That fits with it having no public sign-up.
If someone contacts you offering Abaka AI tasks, check that the message comes from an abaka.ai address before you share any ID.
