Yes, LXT is a real AI training data company, founded in 2010 and based in Canada. But it is mainly a business vendor, and most people looking for remote AI tasks will not sign up with LXT directly.
LXT sends its flexible online work through clickworker, a crowd platform it owns. Its own job board mostly lists on-site transcription in Canada and Romania, short paid recording projects, and in-store data collection in US cities.
Everything below comes from LXT's own pages and job board, read on 2026-10-12, plus a pass through Reddit the same day. DigiNo has no link with LXT and earns nothing from it.
Is LXT Legit?
LXT's about page says it was founded in 2010, is headquartered in Canada, and has a presence in the United States, the UK, Egypt, India, Romania, Turkey, Germany and Australia. Its job postings name Toronto as the head office.
It collects and labels AI training data for business clients across more than 150 countries and over 1,000 language locales.
clickworker is part of the LXT Group. clickworker's own about page calls itself a subsidiary of LXT and says it has more than 10 million contributors.

How LXT Hires Contributors
LXT's jobs page splits its work in two. Flexible remote tasks in data collection, labeling and transcription run through clickworker, which LXT says pays weekly. Full-time and project roles are posted on LXT's own job board.
On 2026-10-12 that job board held 59 postings:
- 18 transcriber and data entry roles at secure LXT sites in Mississauga, Ontario and Bucharest, Romania.
- 13 remote AI language projects for specific languages and dialects, such as Nordic languages, Swiss German, Basque, Catalan, Singlish and Gulf Arabic.
- 8 speech recording projects, where you read about 400 short prompts aloud at home.
- 14 US field roles: part-time retail data collection by car and mystery shopping.
- 6 staff roles.
The secure-site roles are on-site work with background checks and strict confidentiality. LXT says they can run up to full-time hours.

What the Remote Projects Ask For
The remote language postings want native speakers who can transcribe audio accurately, label data against set rules and record their voice. Many are limited to people living in a named country.
The Gulf Arabic project shows how small these can be. It asks for 10 short phone conversations with an AI system, about 30 minutes in total, and a short language check before you get access.
The speech recording projects need a computer with a working microphone, a quiet room and a reliable connection.

How LXT Pays
LXT's job board shows pay on some postings, not all. Most remote language and speech recording postings showed no rate on 2026-10-12. Here is what the ones with a rate listed.
| Posting | Listed at | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Gulf Arabic remote AI project (10 calls, about 30 minutes) | $60-140 for the whole project, USD | Gulf countries, remote |
| English transcriber/annotator, secure site | $17.20-23/hr | Mississauga, Ontario |
| Korean data entry clerk (transcriber), secure site | $22-29/hr | Mississauga, Ontario |
| French transcriber, secure site | $22/hr | Mississauga, Ontario |
| Part-time retail data collection (driving) | $20-25/hr, by city | US cities |
These are the rates the postings state, not what anyone will make. The Gulf Arabic range varies by language, and the field roles are part-time.
For remote microtasks through clickworker, clickworker sets the pay per task and shows it before you start.

What Contributors Say on Reddit
There is little Reddit talk about LXT on its own. Most of it comes from clickworker users, whose accounts moved to LXT this year.
- In August and September 2026, clickworker users got emails saying their accounts would move to LXT AI Inc. They had to accept new terms and update their tax details, and after that LXT AI pays them.
- The move caused hiccups. Some US users said their tax form sat waiting for approval and payments were held up. Others said it was fixed and they were paid the same day, and one said bank payments kept arriving with no problems.
- Some long-time workers say work and pay on certain projects dropped after LXT took over, and that experienced workers left.
- One commenter in r/WorkOnline said LXT paid them and others only half of what they were owed for a project.
