Yes, Clickworker is a real micro-task platform that has been running since 2005 and pays every week. It is also small money: Clickworker itself says pay per job runs from cents up to two-digit euro sums, and that it is no substitute for a full-time job. Treat it as a side pocket, and look elsewhere for skilled AI training work.
Everything below comes from Clickworker's own site and help center, read on 2026-10-12, plus a pass through the Clickworker subreddit and r/beermoney the same day. DigiNo has no link with Clickworker and earns nothing from it.
Is Clickworker Legit?
Clickworker says it is a subsidiary of LXT, an AI training data company, and counts more than 10 million contributors worldwide. Its company history starts in 2005 as humangrid GmbH, with the Clickworker name from 2010.
It has offices in New York and in Essen, Germany. You work as a freelancer, and Clickworker pays weekly through PayPal, Payoneer and other methods.

What the Work Looks Like
Clickworker calls its tasks microjobs. Each is a small piece of a bigger project that you pick from a list. The worker page names these types:
- Surveys.
- Writing short texts and product descriptions.
- Web research, such as finding company addresses.
- Mystery store visits, where you photograph shelves in a nearby shop.
- App testing.
- Photo, audio and video recording on your phone.
The same page names AI training among the tasks you can join.
Clickworker also gives access to UHRS, a separate micro-task site, once you pass its assessment. Clickworker pays you for UHRS work, but says it has no control over how much work UHRS has.

Who Can Join
The bar is low. Clickworker says you need a normal web browser and the right to work where you live, and many tasks need no formal qualifications.
The help center adds two limits.
- Registration closes for a country when Clickworker has enough workers there, or little client work. If your country is missing, try again later.
- Not every payout method works in every country. Clickworker asks you not to register if none of them works for you, because it cannot pay you.
Which jobs you see depends on your profile, language skills and assessment scores. Some assessments cannot be retaken, and the ones that can make you wait at least 60 days.
New accounts go through automatic checks for fake or duplicate details. If you are flagged, Clickworker may ask for ID, proof of address or tax documents, and says the review can take up to 14 days.

How Clickworker Pays
You are paid per accepted task, and the amount is shown before you start. Clickworker says rates depend on the time, difficulty, length and any special knowledge a job needs.
- Payouts run weekly. Clickworker starts each bill run on a Wednesday and invoices arrive Wednesday to Friday.
- PayPal money arrives by Saturday morning, Central European Time. Payoneer, bank transfer and the others take 5 to 7 business days.
- You need a minimum balance and your tax details on file. Smaller balances carry over to the next week.
- Some projects only credit you after the client accepts your work.
Methods include PayPal, Payoneer, SEPA bank transfer in the EU, ACH in the US, eWallet and Airtm. Check which ones your country gets in your payment settings.

What Workers Say on Reddit
We read recent threads in r/Clickworker and r/beermoney. The picture is a platform that pays, for work that is thin and small.
- New workers often find no jobs. Surveys screen them out after a few questions and UHRS shows no work.
- One long-time user says it covers a small bill each month, as long as you check for work several times a day.
- Payment provider fees and currency conversion take a noticeable bite out of small payouts.
- Some report late payments or a deleted account with money still on it.
- In August and September 2026, accounts moved to LXT. Workers had to accept new terms and re-enter tax details, and a few US workers reported failed bank payments afterward while others were paid as normal.
Clickworker's help center lists the same reasons for an empty job list: missing assessments, low scores, jobs limited to certain groups, or simply little work. It also says the app and the browser show different jobs, so check both.
